On May 26 (2017), the Institute of Public Health (Bengaluru) organized a workshop on making cities socially inclusive. This was the first in a series of workshops on this theme aimed at building a network of stakeholders (researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers) interested/engaged making cities socially inclusive. The workshop saw participation from 23 individuals from varied disciplinary and institutional backgrounds.

There are many evidence-based interventions to improve health that have not been effectively delivered. The research agenda especially in the context of maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, etc. has been shifting and needs to shift from understanding the problem to actually intervening and testing solutions in health care systems. This Certificate course in Implementation Research Methods (eIR) course will improve the capacity of researchers to answer implementation research questions.
