Governance and ManagementInstitute of Public Health (IPH) Bengaluru is a registered society under the Karnataka Societies registration Act, 1960 (Registration Number BLU-S580-2005-06). IPH is governed by a Governing Board elected by the IPH Society members. IPH is managed by IPH Management Committee composed of Director, Assistant Directors (Research; Education; Administration; Public & Policy Engagement) and an elected Staff Representative.
IPH Governing Board Members
He is a medical doctor with a DNB and MD in Community Medicine. Currently, he is a professor of Community medicine at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. His expertise lies in the training and supervision of doctors/ community medicine postgraduates. He has published in several reputed journals from his ongoing work in public health.
She is a postgraduate with a diploma in management from Symbiosis, Pune. She works with Infosys limited as a member of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting and Governance Team. She has over two decades of experience in corporate functions and community interventions. She speaks at various national and international CSR conferences. She also represents many NGO panels in an advisory capacity.
He is a medical doctor with a PhD in public health. He was the founding director of the Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru and served as. a Director till June 2019. He has been involved in an advisory capacity to state and central government’s health ministries for public health issues.
T K Sundari Ravindran
She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and served for twenty years as Professor of Public Health in the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences, and Technology, Trivandrum. She is a Principal Visiting Fellow at the United Nations University – International Institute for Global Health, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is a founder-member of Rural Women’s Social Education Centre (RUWSEC) and has been involved in its activities in various capacities since its inception in 1981.
He is a biochemist by training and has worked in the field of environment and public health. He has worked towards research on preventive HIV vaccines, tuberculosis control, and tobacco control at the national and sub-national level. He writes on Natural History.
He has a master’s degree in botany, a doctorate in molecular biology, and is based at the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Bangalore, India, and is an adjunct faculty at nine other institutions in India and the UK.
His wide-ranging research interests are in the areas of behavioral ecology and cognitive psychology of primates, animal molecular genetics, evolutionary biology, conservation biology, and the philosophy of biology.
IPH Society Members
She is an economist having done her M. Phil in applied economics. She has been working in the field of development and cooperation for the past 25 years. As part of her role, she works closely with the government on development initiatives to ensure their scalability and sustainability of development projects.
He is trained as a sociologist, with extensive experience for over 30 years in the NGO sector. He is an activist, thinker, and social entrepreneur, He is a visiting professor at many Universities and has written extensively on development issues, and has delivered numerous lectures on these topics.
V R Diwakar
He is a retired Bank Manager, at State Bank of Mysore. He has extensive expertise in financial management and accounting.
He is an economist by profession with experience in research as well as development organizations. He is a freelance consultant working in the area of health care financing.
She has a Master’s degree in statistics from Bombay University, and a doctorate from the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA. She was the faculty of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, doing research and training in the area of public health management. She is also an honorary president of the Foundation for Research in Health System. She is a specialist in Health Information Systems, Monitoring & Evaluation and is a member at the IPH General Body.
He has been a faculty member of NLSIU right from its founding days. He has taught Legal Methods, Law, Poverty and Development and Labour Law for Graduate students.
He is presently Adjunct Professor at NLSIU where he teaches in the Masters & Programme on Public Policy. He is also Chairperson of the Institute of Public Policy and Director, Centre for Labour Studies at NLSIU.
She is a professor in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management Area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. She is a Chairperson, Digital Learning at IIM Bangalore, and a Past President and Fellow of the Indian Academy of Management.
She is a researcher in Arunachal Pradesh focussing on the human dimensions of wildlife management as well as understanding rainforest dynamics in tropical forests. She has worked closely with local forest managers, filmmakers, policymakers in the Office of the then Minister of Environment and Forests and engaged in-depth with on-ground outreach and conservation activities, including healthcare and logistical support of front-line forest staff.
