The Institute of Public Health (IPH) has constituted a Gender Issues and (Prevention) of Sexual Harassment (GISH) to provide protection against sexual harassment at the workplace. The GISH has been constituted in accordance with the Sexual harassment of women at the workplace (prevention, prohibition, and redressal) Act 2013, which replaces the earlier Committee against sexual harassment (CASH) at IPH.

The research agenda especially in the context of maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, etc. have been shifting and needs to shift from understanding the problem to actually intervening and testing solutions in health care systems.
