Realist Evaluation Advancement Lab for Implementation Strategy Explanations

Duration of project
(2023 to 2028)

Non communicable diseases (NCDs) are one of the growing public health concerns with over 41 million deaths globally and 86% or the deaths occurring in low and middle income countries. The major risk factors for NCDs are – tobacco use, poor nutrition, inadequate physical activity and excessive alcohol use. We aim to study and explain the implementation of some of these NCD control policies in India, set up a Realist Evaluation Advancement Lab for Implementation Strategy Explanations (REALISE) lab to build capacity and implement a community based intervention to support implementation of NCD control policies.
