Pragati B Hebbar (Faculty)

Pragati is a dentist by education, a public health advocate by profession and a nascent researcher with interest in research ethics, NCDs, and fascinated by implementation science. After completing her Masters in Oral Medicine and Radiology from The Oxford Dental College and Hospital in 2012 she practiced dentistry at a charitable hospital in Bengaluru for a while. Her interest in tobacco control and the strong desire to do something at a population level lead her to ‘discover’ IPH. She joined IPH in 2013 as an Advocacy officer in the tobacco control team and over the years has been part of the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) in the capacity of a Member Secretary, Management Committee as an elected staff representative and on research projects like a rapid health impact assessment of government policies. A sports and movie buff, she loves exploring new places and meeting new people.

Admissions open for 2019!

In this eRM (eLearning course in Research Methods) course, we start with helping the student develop clear and well formulated research questions. Participants are then taught how to select research designs and methods best suited to answer the research question, beyond the usual epidemiological disciplines.
