Ms. Amrutha, a faculty at IPH facilitated a session on ‘Integrated Child Development Scheme’ on 18th of January 2012 for the Block Program Mangers
The session focused on understanding the need for nutrition related program, the services under the program, beneficiary and referral system of ICDS. The various services under the program were discussed with greater focus on nutrition, pre-schooling and immunization. Role of Anganwadi teacher, worker, supervisor, CDPO and their coordination with the health system was discussed in detail. The role of BPM in improving this coordination was pondered on. The session ended with a demonstration of calculating indicators under ICDS.
