Davangere police training
Police personnel belonging Davanagere, Chitradurga, Bellary, Shimoga Districts of Eastern range of state police wing underwent training for implementation of smoking ban in public places and other guidelines regarding tobacco control on 7th November at a workshop organized in Bapuji MBA college auditorium, Davanagere. Cops were told to get serious about implementation of Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) in their respective ranges.
Eastern Range IGP, SPs of all the four district and senior police officials participated in the workshop. As part of Voice of tobacco Victims (VOTV) Mr Durgaiah from Kanakapura shared his life experience and survival story from cancer with all the police officers and requested all for the effective implementation of COTPA in their Districts.
