Achyutha N G, is currently working as Research Manager for DRITHI at IPH Bengaluru. He started his career in public health with public and policy engagement in tobacco control implementation. He has been engaged in tobacco control since 11 years and primarily working with the community and key stakeholders for effective implementation of tobacco control policies mainly Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) 2003. Training, capacity building of officials, generating awareness among community, garnering support from key stakeholders for tobacco control etc have been his key areas of work.Recently, he has taken the role of Research Manager at Institute of Public Health Bengaluru for India Alliance/DBT Wellcome Trust senior fellowship awarded to Dr. Upendra Bhojani. He has been elected as Staff Representative at the organisation and will be taking the responsibility from April 1st onwards.
