The focus of the session was to enhance the accounting knowledge and skills of the participants, who were from a non-accounting background. Thus the session stated with the basics of accounting and then proceeded towards the related theoretical concepts. It had a mix of interactive lecture followed by practical activities on creating and maintaining ledgers, bank reconciliation statement, double entry, cash payment register, fixed asset register and bank register. The activities were geared towards increasing the working knowledge related to accounts in a PHC.
