Dorothy Lall (Adjunct Faculty)

Dorothy is a medical doctor by training, with an MD in community medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Epidemiology from Emory University and Centre for Chronic Disease Control, Delhi. She is currently pursuing a PhD in health systems research at Maastricht University, Netherlands.  Her interests are in primary health care and care for chronic non communicable diseases. 

She leads the cluster on health services research and is also the member secretary for the Institutional Ethics Committee at IPH. She also serves as the Assistant Director Education and is committed to developing quality training and capacity building programs for public health professionals to strengthen health systems in India.

In this Certificate course in Implementation Research Methods (eIR) course, There is a need to understand implementation in the real-world context. There are many evidence-based interventions to improve health that have not been effectively delivered. The research agenda especially in the context of maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, etc. has been shifting and needs to shift from understanding the problem to actually intervening and testing solutions in health care systems. This Certificate course in Implementation Research Methods (eIR) course will improve the capacity of researchers to answer implementation research questions.
