Vector control is one of the five elements of Health Systems approach towards elimination of Visceral Leishmaniasis. Synthetic Pyrethroids (SPs) have replaced DDT 5% in 2015 after tolerance was detected in 11 villages of Northern India. This seminar focuses on identifying the potential threats, in light of prevalent laws and legal pronouncements that protect individuals from such hazards.
