Dr. Meena Putturaj (Faculty & DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance Fellow)

Dr. Meena Putturaj holds a Masters degree in Community Health Nursing, Masters in Public Health, and a PhD degree in Public Health from the Maastricht University, Netherlands and Institute of Tropical Medicine, Belgium. Her professional work of nine years is a blend of clinical nursing practice, teaching and health policy and systems research experience. She is specifically interested in realising health governance reforms through the lens of equity, justice, inclusion, democracy and community empowerment through high quality research endeavours, teaching, and knowledge translation. Presently, she is a Faculty and DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance fellow leading a participatory action research project that aims to build inclusive governance for tribal health in India.
