Health equity and evaluation

While health status of the Indian population has improved steadily over the last few decades, there has been a worrying pattern of stagnant or declining health in some geographical regions and/or populations (across class, caste, gender and/or other vulnerabilities). Through research and action on relevant geographies and populations, we seek to improve our understanding of health equity in India.

Since evaluation of health policies and programmes ought to have an important equity focus in order to contribute meaningfully towards positive health and well-being, we also seek to undertake evaluation studies towards improving health equity.
