Maya Annie Elias (Honorary Associate)

She is a Psychiatric Social Worker by training and started her career in clinical social work, providing support for people affected by psychiatric disorders.

She is engaged in public health research for the past ten years, and been part of many research studies focusing on mental health, tobacco control, maternal health and access to medicines. Her teaching experience is mainly on topics related to mental health and behavioural theories. She has completed a ‘Short Course in Health Policy’ from Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium and ‘Prevention of Mental Disorders’- short course from Johns Hopkin Fall Institute, Barcelona, Spain.
